Dr. Factor received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993 and specialty training in endodontics in 1995 from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He also received a Masters of Science in Oral Biology in 1995 as well.

After private practice in Rochester and Buffalo, Dr. Factor returned to Toronto with his wife and children in 1996 where he joined Endodontic Associates. Dr. Factor has served on the executive council of Alpha Omega Dental Society since 1997 and was president of York Region Dental Society.

Dr. Factor currently holds an Attending Staff position at Mount Sinai hospital, Endodontic Department and gives lectures and assistance to the dental residents. He has taught at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, as an undergraduate clinical instructor from 1997 until 2003.

Dr. Factor is involved in continuing education through various dental organizations including the George Endodontic Study Club, Ontario Society of Endodontists, American Association of Endodontists, Alpha Omega Dental Society and York Region Dental Society.
