Doctor Wolfson completed his dental school education at the University of Toronto and his postgraduate specialty education at Temple University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). After graduation he remained on staff as a fulltime professor for a year and then returned to Toronto to practice endodontics and teach Graduate Endodontics part-time at the State University of New York @ Buffalo.

In 1978 he became Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics and was granted a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (D.A.B.E.). He simultaneously earned a Fellowship in Endodontics from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.(C)) which allows eligibility for Board Certification as a specialist in all ten provinces.

Dr. Wolfson has advanced training in intravenous conscious sedation which is particularly suitable for treating patients who are nervous or anxious about treatment. This is also a very useful technique for treating patients who have gagging problems or are claustrophobic and cannot tolerate the rubber dam. Dr. Wolfson has served as President of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada for a two year term. In this capacity he has dealt with each of the ten provincial dental regulatory bodies and the nine dental specialty groups.

He has served the College in an executive position for eight years, which followed his duties as a Councillor and Chief Examiner in Endodontics for each of two three year terms respectively. Dr Wolfson’s practice is focused on treatment of root canal problems including surgical intervention, root amputation, root resection, retrofillings and associated problems such as guided tissue regeneration, bone grafting, preparation and placement of osseointegrated dental implants.

Dr. Wolfson is a member of various dental organizations including the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, the Canadian Dental Association, the Canadian Academy of Endodontics, the Ontario Society of Endodontists, the American Association of Endodontists, the American College of Endodontists, the International College of Dentists, HTI Canada Dental Implant Study Club, and Alpha Omega Dental Society.
